**Now called La Chona Burger Restaurant** The directions and location are still the same, right between the nail salon and the children's daycare. This was my first time in here and I'm SO glad I saw the "OPEN" sign lit up because the new name threw me. They still have all the great food they had before. Best chicharron taco I've ever had! More than the food, though, was the service. I was the only person in there (right at opening) and the woman who was working made me feel like a guest in her home, rather than just another customer. It was so very nice! As she got things ready for her day, we were able to have some lovely conversations, which one doesn't get too often at restaurants. She also informed me that they have menudo every day, and also ceviché! Between that and her, I am looking forward to going back for more!
New spot, first time trying. I ordered the pozole… chip are thick.. salsa a little different but good.. I’ll keep u posted.. the pozole has bones left in. Taste good… the cook in the back is the owner.. very nice waitress.B. Very helpful.. I’ll be coming back to try more on the menu peeps… had my restaurant fill today so back to the grind and see u all later.. next time
Stopped by Ramon’s randomly and oh what dinner luck was with me. After placing my order with the wonderful staff I asked if they had rolled enchiladas or the flat stacked New Mexico enchilada telling them that was the kind I had grown up with, my grandmother hailing from that state. The cook explained that they had the common rolled style but he could make me the stacked kind, as he has done it before. I pointed out the stacked kings relied on perfect corn tortillas and he said no problem. 10 minutes later I had the New Mexico style you see in the picture. And they were soft and flavorful. Do not hesitate to try this place!
I’m a fan of Ramon’s Mexican cuisine and I can recommend the Posole it’s delicious the hominy is perfect and they add a half a pig foot and it’s delicious it adds the sticky umami flavor that is lip smacking. The staff is really nice and the food is really good. I’m definitely going to come back to try the rest of the menu.
The chef was incredibly friendly and the food was so delicious. Will definitely be back here for sure. For the price, the quality is top notch.
