Went out for my birthday and was very impressed. The appetizer came out in perfect timing before our main meal. Fast service, our waiter was amazing the food was even better. Will definitely be coming back!
There was a lot to like about this place, for our first visit! The atmosphere was amazing, the Oso Buco I had was phenomenal, Ravioli di Aragosta that my wife had is one of her new favorites. Unfortunately the service was a bit under what I expected from the excellence of everything else, however I will never bash a place based on service unless it is absolutely horrible. I absolutely will be excited to go here again soon!
My wife and I went with our three boys. On arrival the hostess walked away and we were seated by one of the bussers. We watched two tables be seated around us who were both asked for drink and appetizer orders by the same waitress. After some time, a different waitress approached our table and asked the waitress dealing with the tables to either side of us “is this the table you want me to take care of?”. To be fair this waitress did a good job of looking after us, getting kids menus for our boys (because that was not considered earlier) taking our food orders (with drinks at the same time since that hadn’t been done yet), and checking in occasionally but clearly we were not in her normal set of tables so she had to divert her attention to come attend to us periodically while we watched the waitress dealing with all the tables around us wander by routinely to check in on those who apparently were worth her attention. Food was good, feeling like we weren’t worthy of the attention of the hostess or waitress was not. We will not return to this establishment.
I was there for brunch with a few friends and we sat at the bar with Chris, the bartender. We had amazing service. Food was delicious and the live music was great! Will definitely be back and will enjoy the patio once it warms up!
Nice vibe to this place upon entry. To begin, the server forgot water, leaving the glasses provided on the table empty. I ordered a coffee, and it was chafé (what brazilians refer to as a drink that is neither coffee nor tea). As an appetizer, we ordered stuffed mushroom caps, normally served at happy hour. They were very good, and the best part of the meal. Recommended. We ordered from the dinner menu at lunch time. Although one of the higher priced items on the menu, the sea bass was mediocre, lacking vibrant taste. The steak was the highest priced item on the menu, but the composition of the platter was inappropriate because it should have a protien, a starch, and a vegetable. In this case there was no vegetable. That said, the roasted potates were fantastic. The meat quality was below acceptable grade. We ordered spaghetti as an aside led by the notion that pasta was the house specialty. Although I'm a fan of spaghetti meatballs, the spaghetti cried out: rescue me I'm drowning in sauce! The dish presented closer to a soup than a sauce over pasta. The bar sits to the left and has a lively crowd on occasion. The venue presents a large space, so if you want to dine in peace you may avoid the bar area. UPDATE: My colleague insisted we visit again, claiming it was usually better than the visit described above. Indeed she wasn't kidding. My second visit was certainly improved. I had the salmon. Delicious. The fish gently flaked apart as it should, an amazing feat considering it may have been frozen at some point. The carrots and broccoli were excellent, and the grain complimented the fish well. Asparagus was good yet the stem was a bit stiff and ever so slightly undercooked, for me. The server was attentive and extremely helpful, almost as if she could read my mind and recommend an order I would enjoy. The calamari was good, but kind of dry and didn't seem fresh. The salmon is recommended. The bread basket was good too. I plan on returning. Upgraded to 5.
