Update 5/25: This go around we got the fish tacos and shepard's pie. Shepard's Pie was more of a soup and had chunks of beef. We've been here a few times but haven't left any reviews. I was surprised how packed it was on a mid-day Wednesday! I love the selection of small meals they have. We ended up deciding on the fish & chips and wings. Both were delicious and recommended!
I feel like this should be a staple staple joint in Chandler Arizona. I’m not usually one for a weird drink or cocktail however they have a peanut butter shot. That’s like a frozen chocolate shot martini and it’s pretty good. The atmosphere is cool with lots of dollar bills andIDs and stuff and pictures in the wall. The staff is very friendly.
My friend and I shared the Shepard's Pie. It was great! We tried a couple of drinks. I tried the Jameson and root beer. Very yummy!
Went for lunch on a weekday. It was kind of busy but not too bad. There were several tables to choose from. They don’t have a written menu, you have to scan the barcode and read it online. Not a deal breaker but my wife can’t stand that. She ordered a cheeseburger and fries. The fries were really good and the burger was ok but the patty was pretty dry. I had the chicken tenders and they were excellent. The service was good but the wait for the food was excessive. A little over 40 minutes.
I generally don't leave bad reviews but if you're looking for traditional irish food, go 3.7 miles northwest. Never before have I had sausage gravy on poutine and nary a biscuit in sight (and yes I realize that poutine is canadian not irish). It wasn't bad though, I want to make that clear, it was good food with balanced dishes and nice flavors. Just odd choices for some ingredients. I also had the mac n cheese (made with ziti or penne, another unusual choice as mac is short for .... macaroni....) which was creamy and the garlic bread was spot on, if not rather small. Our waitress was kind and cordial and knowledgeable of the food options. My partner got the peanut butter shot which you can also get as a pint to go. Clever to make it a sealed pint of questionably low proof alcoholic ice cream. Which makes me question how much alcohol is in the shot you order. I inquired about irish whiskeys jameson (all flavors), paddy, tullamore dew. Cocktail variety is achieved by various types of Jameson. Cold brew root beer was nice. We sat outside, inside was packed and loud. Parked a long way away at the golf course, but it was Saturday night at 7pm so not unexpected Too long; didn't read: a vaguely Irish bar with above average bar food and delicious $20 ice cream Oh!
