Mike and Katie are top notch! They were extremely helpful and knowledgeable every step of the way! We bought from out of state and did not have the luxury of being in town during the buying process, but they both made the entire process very easy for us. Mike and Katie helped us get our first (and dream) house. They were incredibly responsive, professional and helpful. They thoroughly guided us through the process because we are first time home buyers. Katie scheduled any showings at last minute and is always accommodating our schedule. Mike didn’t just want us to buy anything and be done with. We put offers in on three houses, the first two we canceled after inspection. Mike went over the reports and advised us of deal breaker issues. He also helped us get our dream house although it was a competitive bidding war and we weren’t even the best offer. They also worked with my FIL who is out of state, to obtain the loan. Even now that we got the house, they still reach out to see how we are doing. It was a seamless process overall and I’m grateful to have such thoughtful real estate agents like Mike and Katie. Highly recommend!!
Huge shout out to our realtor, Mike D’Elena, who assisted with the sale of our old home and purchase of new home. Mike’s communication skills are par none. He always remains available to us at any time of the day or week and was incredibly transparent for the duration of the home buying and selling process (even in leaseback cases). There is no question that I felt like we were Mike’s number one priority. Furthermore, Mike comes with a wealth of knowledge about real estate and the Arizona market that are hugely beneficial throughout the entire home selling and buying process. Additionally, his personal rolodex of contacts are superb (if it be a loan broker, handyman, or anything in between). If you want a realtor that actually WORKS for his commission and does SO MUCH MORE than the bare minimum, you need Mike D’Elena. Mike D’Elena and his team helped us sell our house in Mesa. Mike and his team absolutely blew us away. They are truly a joy to work with. Mike is kind, helpful, gracious, funny, and really truly fun to work with. Michelle handles much of the paperwork and logistic stuff and she is amazing. After working with her through a sale and a purchase, it feels like we’re friends and we are actually planning on meeting up for a drink to celebrate our home sale. That friendly, family type culture is a theme throughout our entire experience working with Mike and his team. Mike has a solid marketing plan and excellent negotiation skills. Mike sold our house for above asking, to a solid buyer, and we were under contract in only 2 days! He spent all day going back and forth with several agents ensuring he got us the best offer. His photographer made our small townhouse look like a mansion. Mike even negotiated a leaseback into the sale to give us time to close on the new house after we sold our old house. He also helped us with the purchase of our new house. One of my favorite things about Mike was his knowledge of everything home-related. While looking at houses, he was able to spot things we missed (Ex: cracks in the exterior wall) and identify if they were a big deal or not. This was incredibly helpful and saved us a ton of money because we were able to avoid paying for inspections on homes that we knew would reveal costly repairs. Mike “has a guy” for everything… we would mention that we didn’t like the floors or landscape or bathroom in a house, Mike would assure us that he has people that can fix anything. When we had an inspection that revealed that just about everything needed to be replaced, he suggested that we walk away from the home. We really valued his honesty and appreciated his insight. Unfortunately, that meant we would not be able to get into a new house before we had to vacate the old house. Most realtors would shrug, suggest a hotel, and go about their day. Not Mike. He graciously let us live in his BEAUTIFUL vacation rental home, RENT FREE for TWO WEEKS while we waited on the closing of our new home. I honestly just cannot say enough good things about Mike. I would use his again and again. He adds SO much value to the home-buying experience and I would never buy or sell another home without him. Mike sets the bar extremely high.
With the market as tough as it is for buyers right now we couldn't have been more fortunate than to be working with Mike and his team. Mike is professional, on top of things, strategic, and great to work with. We were first time buyers and needed someone who would be real with us on what was needed to get the deal done, but also patient with us as it was such a big process.
