I was pleasantly surprised to find out upon arrival this is a free museum. The Japanese internment camp display inside was absolutely heart breaking but so well put together and educational while still providing a heartfelt quality. The second area on Dr chandler and Frank Lloyd Wright lightened the mood while providing a rich history of the city and the two mens architectural marvels together. Some stairs were required but for the most part areas to sit and rest when accompanied by a grandparent or elderly parent were provided and available.

Small but solid museum. Part, most of it, is about the history of Chandler with some great displays about the people and businesses that started and helped grow the local community. The other side is rotating exhibits. We saw a photo collection about Alzheimer's. Free admission so I bought something from the gift shop to help support them. Recommended.

I went to Chandler Museum, and it was interesting! They show cool stuff about the city's history and culture. The exhibits are well done and engaging. It's a nice place to learn about Chandler's past. I enjoyed my visit, and it's worth checking out if you're curious about local history and culture.

Very disappointing. We have family members who were Dust Bowl immigrants in Chandler during the 1930’s. There was ONE picture in the whole museum of that era. Instead, they had displays of other time periods and people that were not specific to Chandler. There was a room called the Agave room which had a boom box displayed and several unattractive paintings, of only boom boxes. It was a waste of space, which could have been used to display the story of the Dust Bowl immigrants. I understand there was such a display up till a year ago. Well, we were not here a year ago. Where is all of that material now? Why would it not be permanently in Chandler, where the Dust Bowl immigrants actually lived and worked? It’s a good thing the museum was free, because we were beyond disappointed.

Excellent facility which documents the history of the city and the internment camp. Local artists featured. And free. We spent several hours and my six year old was curious and engaged.
