Great spot to grab some grub! Food was good, maybe not great, service was same. Very nice wait staff! Definitely recommend this place.
Sat on the patio. Avie was our waitress- she was amazing. She fast and attentive. She gave great recommendations. Food was great I would recommend tamale’s! They had a live band - beautiful music , it was a bit loud!
Salsa and chips are so good. The guac is just my favorite. The patio was great and even has heaters and umbrellas. We were sat immediately. Service was good. Usually love this place. But. The chicken burrito was not good. It was weird. Just oddly cooked chopped white meat w strong but not pleasant seasoning. Nothing else. It was liquidly inside and sat in wetness. The rice and beans are always good. But the burrito was a huge disappointment. I felt I could not be disappointed here. Overall. Everything was wonderful. Except that burrito. Stay away.
I have been here many times in the past several years, and the experience is not consistent. I love the short rib enchiladas, but they were out of the meat this last trip. Then overheard the table over, they ran out of tomatoes for Guacamole. Seems weird early on a Saturday night. There was one third empty tables in the restaurant, but a wait to be seated, so I'm guessing they are understaffed. My server seemed to be over about ten tables and way overstretched. Server was great when around, just gone for very long periods when needed. Last time in, I waited about an hour to be seated, when given a 40 minute wait time. Everyone that came in after me was seated! I finally asked them, and they said they had been calling my phone number given, but I never got a call. Atmosphere is fun if you like sugar skulls for decor. Margaritas are delicious. Chips are made in their own fryer and gluten free, and several menu items are gluten free which I need. My daughter likes their chicken tenders and rice, who is typically very picky. Tried the Guacamole for the first time this recent trip and the pomegranate is a unique yummy touch. Worth a try!
First time at Barrio Queen. Lunch was very good and they have a unique menu. Guacamole was prepped at the table so it couldn't be any fresher.
