Good price for what you get! I was not a fan of how heavily seasoned their sushi rice is, or that it's hot and warms up my fish. The fish was nice quality and large pieces. Much better than "sushi" you can get at a buffet! Me and my toddler ate today but he was free. We will come back even though we are only here visiting!
This place always gets such good reviews on social media. Decided to try it out during a late quick lunch today. Atmosphere is nice and fun, dark if you like that kinda vibe, the service was fine, but the food we were not happy with. It tasted good, but boy is this place CRAZY priced for what you get. I couldn't stomach $20+ for their special rolls, so I stuck with standard rolls. $12.50 for a spicy yellowtail roll. This would be fine with what I normally expect, but when I got it, this roll was literally 1/3 the size of rolls at other sushi places that we frequent. Not even joking, the roll must have been about a quarter size in diameter. Same goes for the shrimp tempura roll we got - larger in diameter kind of roll, but not even kidding, 1/8" thick in width. And then third and final, our avocado/cucumber roll. $9 and there was maybe 1/4 of an avocado with a strip of cucumber inside. All in all - if you saw the amount of food we got, you'd expect to pay $20 or under. Instead, it was nearly $40. Will not return due to portion sizes. Compare this place to say, Orient Sushi in Gilbert, their rolls are 3x the size and 35% less in cost.
Sushi Creek is a nice, cozy little sushi bar that has never disappointed! It is located in Queen Creek off of Old Town Ellsworth Rd. and Ocotillo Rd. in the northeast corner of the lot. My absolute favorite appetizer is the Crab Eggrolls, and if you like Crab Angels or Wontons, you will love these egg rolls. They are normally packed, so always make sure to call ahead. I don't remember the name of the roll in the picture, but it was amazing, and the other wrap looking thing was the Spicy Tuna Roll but was prepared as a hand roll.
Great service. Good deals. Yummy sushi. Eel still my favorite.
Fun little place to get some Sushi. I need to try a few more things but the basic CA Roll, Spicy Salmon and Spicy Yellowtail was pretty good! I was lucky to sit at the bar next to where they were bringing out orders. I think other people’s orders looked better than mine. I’ll be back!
