Great service and nice atmosphere. After being served delicious chips and salsa we looked forward to our meals arriving. Sadly, the food was mediocre. I had a chicken chimichanga that was just ok as chimichangas go. My friend also ordered a chimichanga and we both agreed there were way too many cooked onions. That is all you could taste. Hubby had the mesquite steak tacos. It was disappointing that the steak was tough and not very flavorful. Another friend had steak quesadillas that also didn’t have much flavor and the steak was tough. Darn! We were really looking forward to some quality Mexican food.
Pros: the service was really good. As were the chips and salsa. Cons: the food was not good. I order birria tacos at most Mexican places, if they’re on the menu. These were the worst I've had. No flavor and soggy! My sister in law also didn’t like her pork tacos at all. Pass on this place!
After a long day of shopping, I found myself in need of a relaxing meal and Nando’s Mexican Cafe was just around the corner so I decided to give it a try. The laid-back atmosphere helped me unwind and the friendly service from Isabella made the experience even more pleasant. They gave a complimentary chips and 2 varieties of salsa for everyone. I started with the chicken burros which come with chicken only. I appreciated the option to customize them with sides like guacamole, salsa and cheese, though adding these extras did increase the overall cost. I also ordered the chicken chimichanga, which was quite good. It was well-seasoned and crispy, adding a nice variety to my meal. The quantity was heavy for me so I had half portion in the restaurant and packed the other portion as to-go. Overall, I enjoyed my visit to Nando’s. The ambiance was welcoming, the service was attentive and both the burros and chimichanga were satisfying.
Absolutely great place for Mexican food in Queen Creek. I tried a new meal they have, the Hatch Picado Dinner. It is fantastic. It doesn’t show in my pictures but it comes with either corn or flour tortillas.
Love the food and drinks! Large portions and delicious food! I always order a spicy strawberry margarita and it is always amazing! We look forward to having delicious food and drinks and the chips and salsa are always so nice to have served as soon as you’re seated! Servers seem to vary, but most seem efficient and personable. Some seem overwhelmed from time to time, but give them grace as they may be new or over-seated! We’ve never had a negative experience, and we look forward to many more positive ones!
